Imaging

Imaging is the capture, storage, manipulation and display of images. In graphical imaging, the emphasis is on the manipulation of created images in order to achieve special effects through rotating, stretching, blurring, resizing, twirling, and other changes to the original image. In document and scientific imaging, the emphasis is on capturing, storing, and retrieving information from the images.

But a basic requirement to any of those directions is to have a good image; i. e. getting enough signal and getting suitable resolution.

Bioluminescence imaging (BLI) and biofluorescence imaging (BFI) enable monitoring of gene expression in living organisms.
The NightOWL Imaging System combines both highest sensitivity and opitimized resolution. Thus it has become an standard in reporter gene studies of whole animals and plants, tissue cultures as well as microscopy scale tissue sections.
