MF-ChemiBIS

The MF-ChemiBIS is an fully automated imaging system for a wide range of chemiluminescent samples or samples stainend with fluorescent and colorimetric (visible) dyes.
The system is equipped with a high resolution and highly sensitive CCD camera with liquid cooling.
The ChemiBIS features DNR's unique Smart Dark Chamber technology with an automated UV protection mechanism.


Fully Automated System with high resolution

The ChemiBIS captures the sharpest possible images with precise sample separation - thanks to its powerful CCD camera with high resolution.  Two different models are available, 1.6 and 3.2 Mpixels. The high speed zoom lens results in enhanced sensitivity, collecting maximum light from the sample, while maintaining sharp, clear images with minimal geometric and light distortion. Featuring a motorized zoom, iris and focus, the ChemiBIS is a fully automated system for user comfort and real-time image capturing.


Cooled Camera

For better accuracy, longer exposure time and minimal dark noise the Deep Liquid Cooling System cools the camera to minimum of -70°C.


Illumination

The ChemiBIS is equipped with a built-in transilluminator with dual UV/WL illumination and 2 interchangeable UV and WL drawers. Automatic Drawer Detection technology indentifies the type of drawer in use and adjusts the software settings accordingly.
The motorized 5-position filter wheel is equipped with 3 filters in 520nm, 580nm and 600nm. A white light epi illumination is installed, a UV epi illlumination can be addded optionally.
The optional HeptaLED system provides illumination of 6 different wavelenghts at 470nm, 500nm, 525nm, 568nm, 588nm and 621nm.



Applications

The ChemiBIS has extensive illumination options allowing researchers to document a wide range of samples. With trans and epi illumination sources, five-position filter wheel and an unique LEDs System (HeptaLED System), you can use this system for almost any chemiluminescent, fluorescent or colorimetric application.

    Easy to set-up, with an user-friendly interface, and one-click results, the ChemiBIS ensures greater efficiency and productivity in the laboratory. Fully controlled by the PC, ChemiBIS USB 2.0 interface connects easily to any laptop or PC.


    Software

    The ChemiBIS will be delivered standardly with two software packages, GelCapture for imaging acquisition and TL-100 for image analysis.

    GelCapture offers complete, automatic control of configuring, capturing, and saving sample images for analysis. GelCapture offers all important image settings adjustable as illumination, focus, brightness, binning and many more. 

    The TL100 software from the TotalLab range enables fast and consistent analysis of your gel images with high levels of automation and accuracy.
    You can perform a complete analysis with a single click and then refine results afterwards, or step through the different analysis stages giving you complete control at each stage.
    Automated lane creation, band detection and background subtraction are all performed without any user intervention for the utmost in analysis consistency. Molecular weight can be calculated for your bands from the standard marker lane you included on the gel. Classical commercial standards are available in the software or you can create and save your own. The TL100 software performs precise band edge detection and subtraction of background material which is vital for correct quantitation or normalisation of band material. There are additional tools to adjust band edges and account for band "grimacing" on awkward gels.

    Also included with the TL100 software are modules for:

    • Array, dot / slot blot analysis
    • Colony counting
    • A toolbox for general image analysis
