UniRad is a user-friendly radiation measuring system designed for use in the nuclide laboratory and as training instrument in science and radiation measuring technique.
The easy-to-operate instrument for the radio nuclide laboratory In the laboratory, UniRad is a full-fledged radio assay measuring system for single samples. Different nuclides can be measured in a few simple steps, and the results output on a printer.
The versatile instrument for instruction and training Used as a training instrument, UniRad allows you to connect up to 4 different probe types to demonstrate their principle of operation and to run radiation measurement. The clearly-structured front panel makes it easy for any student to work with the instrument.
UniRad comprises the following components:
- Microprocessor board
- High voltage module with 4 separate outputs
- Pulse amplifier
- Digital input for proportional counter tubes
- Single channel discriminator
- Digital counter
- Rate meter, Counter/Timer and peak search
functions
- Test oscillator
- Printer interface
- Recorder output
- Alarm output for relay connection
UniRad can process signals supplied by the following probes:
- NaI probes
- Geiger-Müller counter tubes
- Digital probes with „integrated“ pre-amplifier
and discriminator
- Semi-conductor detectors
