The people in Ukraine are suffering massively because of the recent military offensive against their country. We here at Berthold Technologies are also deeply distressed by the events taking place in the Ukraine. Since the outbreak of the war, we have been in particularly close contact with our partners in Ukraine, who have become friends of ours during our decades working together and whose regular deliveries continue to reach us despite the war.
Unfortunately, the war has in the meantime also reached the Kharkiv region in the northeast of Ukraine and poses a real threat to the workforce of our partner company. Our employee Dorothea Hagenlocher maintains direct contact and has known many of the local colleagues personally for many years. In conversations, she learned not only about their daily concerns for their own families, but also about the dangers they face on the way to work as well as in the plant itself.
The personal protection of our business partners and their families is very important to us. So, it was only natural for us to support Dorothea's suggestion to organize the procurement of 20 bullet-proof vests of class 3, which offer protection against both short and long gun ammunition, as an aid and protection measure for the workforce there. The vests are scheduled to be delivered in the next few weeks and will hopefully help protect our partners and their families a little better.
