One Health is an approach to design and implement programmes, policies, legislation, and research in which multiple sectors communicate and work together to achieve better public health outcomes. It recognizes that the health of people is closely connected to the health of animals and our shared environment. In fact, 70 per cent of all emerging and re-emerging pathogens are zoonotic, jumping from animals to humans. One Health is gaining recognition as an effective way to fight health issues at the human-animal-environment interface, including zoonotic diseases.

This approach requires the cooperation of multiple stakeholders, and collaboration and exchange of information are key aspects of the One Health approach. Professionals in human health, animal health, environment, and other areas of expertise need to communicate, collaborate on, and coordinate activities.

In this interesting interview with Eric Sellal, CEO of Biosellal shares insights into his company´s work developing real-time PCR and ELISA methods for COVID-19 detection and discussing the concept of “One Health” that aims to bring together human and animal health to achieve a harmonized approach for understanding and control of diseases.

Do you perform high-throughput ELISA plate coating? Do you manufacture ELISA kits?

Watch the video to learn more about how the integration of the Zoom HT Microplate Washer is instrumental in ensuring quality and throughput in Biosellal's ELISA production line.

Key to BioSellal's success is the Zoom HT Plate Coating system: it's a high-throughput microplate washer-dispenser, which is used at Biosellal to manufacture ELISA kits to detect the relevant antigens and antibodies. It enables the production of hundreds of kits per day with excellent reproducibility.

Veterinary ELISA

Veterinary science helps to maintain food supply through livestock health monitoring and treatment and thus, is economically important for farmers and food producers alike. It also helps to protect human health through the monitoring and control of zoonotic diseases. Our automated ELISA mini workstations enable efficient testing of various sample types from livestock ranging from serum to milk and beyond.
