As a family business with a long tradition, Berthold Technologies GmbH & Co. KG is geared towards long-term success. That is why sustainable and prudent corporate management is very important to us. We strive to combine economic growth with ecological and social awareness.
This includes, among other things, using clean energy. We have recently been producing this ourselves with the 156 modules of our new photovoltaic system, covering around 8% of the electricity requirements of our headquarters in Bad Wildbad (Germany). The CO2 saving is around 35 tonnes per year. A compensation area the size of more than 8 football fields of mixed forest would be necessary to remove this amount of CO2 from the atmosphere within one year.
With this project, we are reducing our CO2 footprint. At the same time, we are also contributing to the expansion of renewable energy production capacities in the region.
These and other initiatives of our family-owned company aim at energy savings and technical innovations to bring greenhouse gas emissions in line with the two-degree target of the Paris Climate Agreement in the medium term.
