The bScreen LB 991 Label-Free Microarray System with Biametrics SCORE technology (Single Colour Reflectometry) enhances Biolayer Interference technology (BLI). It combines the advantages of label-free detection with the throughput and flexibility of microarray technologies. The Next Generation Microarray SCORE technology provides access to abroad range of sample types (small molecuels, fragmensts, proteisn, peptides, viruses, whole cells, nanoparticles...) in complex matrices (buffer, DMSO, serum, whole blood, milk...). It allows for comprehensive kinetic and thermodynamic evaluation of biomolecular binding while avoiding the typical pitfalls of label-based technologies. The bScreen LB 991 sets a new standard in high-throughput label-free screening with unprecedented performance or quality.



SCORE Technology

The proprietary SCORE technology (Single Colour Reflectometry) utilises the interference of monochromatic light, which is reflected at the interface between the biolayer and the sensor chip (see Figure 1). The intensity of the reflected light depends on the physical thickness and refractive index of the biolayer, which changes upon binding of molecules. The SCORE technology transfers this principle onto a robust Microarray format, enabling the simultaneous binding kinetic analysis of thousands of interactions between an immobilised and a soluble partner in real-time and label-free.
